Way to go Mr. Haas - we are proud of you!
Candy Challenge
Mrs. Nabi and the Clarkston PTA have challenged the campus to bring 100 lbs. of candy to be given away at the Fall Carnival. The candy will be weighed on Tuesday, October 21. If we can collect 100 lbs., the campus will earn a FREE DRESS DAY! Collection boxes are located in the front hall near the Einstein statue. Don't forget the Fall Carnival is on Friday, October 24 from 5:30 - 7:30 in the front parking lot.
Sign Language Classes
Classes will be held in the Clarkston Cafeteria everyMonday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Classes will run from Sept. 29 - Dec. 8. We will meet for a total of 10 classes. This is a beginners class. This is FREE and open to the public. Young students must be accompanied by an adult. We hope to see you there!

Fresh Country Fundraiser
It's time for our Fund Raiser! We are selling Fresh Country Cookie Dough and Desserts! This year we are raising money to go towards the many campus activities and projects that we enjoy throughout the year at Clarkston. In particular, money raised will help support the Fall Carnival which will be FREE for students and families. Participation is greatly appreciated. The sale will run October 7-21. A PTA representative will be on campus to collect orders on October 21. Please do not send order forms and money until that date.
Storybook Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Here are the rules to participate:
  • Find a book in the Clarkston Library with one of your FAVORITE characters. You will display your pumpkin character with the book you choose.
  • Disguise a pumpkin to look like this character. You may dress up your pumpkin or use paint and other items to glue on your pumpkin. You may NOT carve, cut, or poke things in your pumpkin.
  • Parents can help you, but the idea and work should come from YOU!

  • Clarkston will vote for their favorite pumpkin character the following week. All the pumpkins are winners but we will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners on Friday October 24th! You must take your pumpkins home on October 24 as well

Birthday Books

Celebrate your child's birthday with a special book donated to the Clarkston Media Center in their honor. Donated books will include a special birthday book plate with the child's name attached inside the front cover. On the child's birthday, Mrs.Zeawill present the book to the child in their classroom with great pomp and circumstance. The book will be checked out to the student and they will be allowed to keep their special birthday book checked out as long as they wish. The really fun part comes when their friends finally get a chance to check out their special book. This is a great way to do a little something "extra" for your child on their birthday and also help the Clarkston Media Center continue to grow our library collection.
Visit ourMedia Centerpage and click on the "Birthday Books" tab to learn more or clickHEREto visit our donation page and order your birthday book. A minimum donation of $15.00 is required for a Birthday Book.
